Understanding your fees is an important part of planning your studies.
This page outlines tuition fees, payment options, and key information you need to know before enrolling.
Tuition Fees
Tuition fees are:
- Invoiced and payable each semester
- Reviewed annually and may increase each year
- Charged at the rate applicable in the semester in which the subject is undertaken
- Listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and exempt from GST
Any changes to fees will be communicated prior to your offer of enrolment.
Most tertiary courses* are delivered full-time.
*The Master of Fine Arts (Cultural Leadership) is delivered part-time.
Tuition fees vary by course and student type. The figures below are indicative annual fees for full-time study in 2027.

Your payment options depend on your residency, the type of place you are offered, and whether you are eligible for government assistance or payment support.
Pay your fees upfront
You may be required to, or choose to, pay your tuition fees upfront depending on your enrolment and fee type.
If you choose or are required to pay upfront, payment must be made by the census date for each subject you are enrolled in.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty, you may be eligible for a payment plan:
- Fees are paid in instalments (usually monthly)
- A payment plan agreement is required
- The first instalment must be paid before the census date
- All instalments must be completed by the end of semester
Defer your fees (FEE-HELP)
Eligible domestic students may choose to defer their tuition fees through the Australian Government FEE-HELP loan scheme.
- No upfront payment is required at enrolment
- A HELP loan application must be submitted by the census date
- Eligibility criteria apply

VET Student Loans (VSL)
Eligible domestic students may choose to defer their tuition fees through the Australian Government VET Student Loans program.
- No upfront payment is required at enrolment
- A loan application (eCAF) must be submitted by the census date
- A loan fee applies to VET Student Loans
- Eligibility criteria and loan caps apply

Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP)
A limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places are available to eligible domestic students.
If you are offered a Commonwealth Supported Place:
- The Australian Government contributes towards the cost of your tuition
- You pay a student contribution amount
- You may be eligible to defer your contribution through HECS-HELP
To maintain your enrolment in a CSP:
- You must meet all enrolment requirements by the census date
- You must submit any required HELP forms by the census date

All payments or HELP loan applications must be completed by the census date for each subject.
The census date is the final deadline to:
- Pay your tuition fees upfront
- Submit a HELP loan application
- Confirm your Commonwealth Supported Place
- Withdraw without financial penalty
The Census Date is an important deadline for each subject you are enrolled in.
By the census date, you must:
- Pay your fees upfront, or
- Submit a valid HELP loan application (e.g. FEE-HELP or VET Student Loans), or
- Accept a Commonwealth Supported Place (if applicable), or
- Formally withdraw from your subject
If you withdraw after the census date, you may still be financially liable for your fees.
Census dates are published on course pages and may vary between subjects.
What is your responsibility?
It is your responsibility to:
- Pay your fees upfront, or
- Submit a valid HELP loan application (e.g. FEE-HELP or VET Student Loans), or
- Accept a Commonwealth Supported Place (if applicable), or
- Formally withdraw from your subject
What happens if I miss the Census Date?
If you do not submit your HELP loan or VSL application on or before the census date:
- You will not be eligible to access a HELP loan or VET Student Loan for that study period
- Your enrolment may be cancelled
- Any Commonwealth subsidy (if applicable) may be withdrawn
Some administrative fees may apply during your studies.
