ACCUMULATE – Residency Call
ACCUMULATE, Shark Island’s new creative residency supporting the development of bold new Australian work across performance, choreography, music, writing, visual arts and more.
Please note the submission deadline is close of business on Thursday 16th of April 2026.
Grounded in real stories and collaborative exchange, ACCUMULATE invites artists to explore how art can shift the way we think, feel, and see the world.
Residency Dates: 7–20 July 2026 (14 days / 13 nights)
Grant: $1,000 per artist (includes accommodation and all meals)
Who can apply: Individual artists or up to three collaborators
Location: Shark Island Kangaroo Valley
Applications close: Thursday 16 April 2026, 5:00 pm AEST
Selected works may also be invited for further development and presentation at The Old Store through @sharkislandsessions. Shark Island Institute has a 25‑year history of supporting award‑winning, truth‑telling work that creates real social impact — and this residency continues that legacy in a living, collaborative way.
Applicants must either be local to the Gold Coast or prepared to relocate and assume responsibility for their housing/accommodation.
