About the show
Post-apocalyptic America. A world without electricity. Survivors huddle around a fire, distracting themselves by piecing together a half-forgotten episode of The Simpsons.
Seven years later, a troupe of players rehearse a classic episode of The Simpsons and other snippets of pop culture, clinging to their collective past.
75 years later, the pop culture stories of one era have evolved into the mythology of another. Anne Washburn’s international hit comedy dissolves the barriers between high art and pop culture and imagines a world where The Simpsons becomes the new bible, showing how the stories we tell make us the people we are.
