It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tony Pierce.
Tony was a valued member of the NIDA community for more than 32 years, joining the School in 1987. Over the course of his career, he served as Head of the Sets Department and later as Workshop Manager, playing a pivotal role in supporting productions and mentoring generations of students. He generously shared his knowledge, craftsmanship and passion for scenic construction, leaving a lasting impact on the NIDA community.
Many members of our community will remember Tony for his generosity, his commitment to his craft and the guidance and support he provided to students and colleagues throughout his career.

A memorial service for Tony will be held Friday 24 July at 11am at St George Motorboat Club, in the Waterfront Room, at 2 Wellington St, San Souci.
