About the project
The Shed is a work of docu-fiction that unfolds across two intertwined narratives: the “true story” of a mysterious event in 1930s rural Australia, and the contemporary experience of three performers attempting to reconstruct and make sense of that story on stage.
The Shed was showcased on 30 January 2026, presenting a work-in-progress Act 1 that combined actor-cueing algorithms, and the emerging narrative of The Shed. The narrative of The Shed became the primary focus of the showing, with less emphasis on the physical technology used.
