Xavier Hazard

About Xavier

Xavier is a queer writer and lawyer with a passion for writing stories for television and theatre that hit you in the gut and the heart and the humerus, all at once. Xavier recently participated in Screen Australia and ABC’s Fresh Blood development, in collaboration with comedian Emma Holland for her art-studio parody television series Fine Art. He has also worked as a notetaker for Easy Tiger. On stage, Xavier’s Griffin Award longlisted play ALL BOYS will have its professional debut in Perth at the Blue Room Theatre, directed by the inimitable Cezera Critti-Schnaars, and Sydney this year at KXT, directed by Xavier’s close collaborator NIDA directing graduate Mehhma Malhi. Xavier wrote the original play Seen last year for NIDA’s Festival of Emerging Artists. He has written four other original productions for the stage and is currently developing a TV series about his time as a judge’s associate at the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
