Violeta Brau Mugica

 Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and fluent in Spanish, Violeta has had a fascination for the arts from an early age. Raised by a supportive single father, Violeta began lessons in theatre and Flamenco dance after migrating to Australia. Her love for acting deepened through her portrayal of Abigail Williams in The Crucible during high school and performing in Extremities at the Melbourne Fringe Festival following graduation. 

Immediately after completing high school, Violeta devoted herself to ballroom dancing, undergoing extensive training with the world’s best and representing Australia at the highest level of dance in countries such as Italy, Ukraine, Lithuania, China, Singapore, and Malaysia, and was also one of the professionals on Dancing with The Stars, Australia. 

Despite her dedication to dance, acting remained her true passion. She completed the Howard Fine Acting Studio’s part-time course in 2022 and at the end of that year, her life’s trajectory changed when she was accepted into NIDA. Violeta has since appeared on Channel 10’s Thank God You’re Here in 2023 and 2024 as a guest ensemble member. 

Driven by a deep curiosity about human psychology and the sheer joy of performing, Violeta is ready to immerse herself in the industry and is also committed to making work of her own.
