About Shaw
Shaw was born in the UK and raised around the world traveling with the British Army. Being surrounded by so many different voices and sounds, he fell in love with accents; mimicking them to entertain those around him. Growing up obsessed with film and television, acting has been the only constant thing in Shaw’s life.
Excelling at any sport with a ball, Shaw was forced to grow up after an injury ridden year out of high school squashed a potential rugby career. Shaw was accepted to an Advanced Diploma in Acting at Sydney Theatre School where he played Hamlet, toured a show to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and took a shining to devising, physical theatre and partnered acrobatics.
Shaw was cast in his first professional production as ‘Sick Boy’ in the sell-out production of Trainspotting Live. He auditioned to NIDA to further his craft.
Having learned some hard life lessons in his short existence circling the globe, Shaw is interested in exploring where vulnerability and masculinity has its place in this ever-changing world. When he can lend his varying accents to the story telling . . . even better!
