Paris Koppens

Paris is an emerging costume designer and artist working across screen and live performance. Her practice is based on a deep curiosity for character leading to conceptual designs. She brings a calm and personable approach to her teams and is known for embracing bold visual language.

After many years as a practicing visual artist, Paris’ love of character and storytelling led her to NIDA to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design for Performance. Her NIDA Design credits include, Set and Costume Designer for The Attempted Rape of Susanna for NIDA’S 2023 Festival of Emerging Artists (FOEA), Costume Designer and Maker for Design’s 3D Costume Project, Set and Costume Designer for NIDA’s First Love is the Revolution and Costume Designer for NIDA’s The Octoroon

Her screen credits include Co-Director and Costume Designer for the short film Find their Fit and Costume and Production Designer for Awa Mbaye’s music video Paranoia for Triple J Unearthed.
