Maria White is an educator, interdisciplinary artist and academic living on the unceded lands of the Bidjigal and Gweagal peoples. She holds a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where she has worked as a sessional academic since 2015. Maria is currently collaborating on a book project about creative literacies with colleagues at UNSW, due for publication in 2025. She has made performance work with theatre-maker Emma McManus since 2015, and has collaborated with vocalist and performance artist Annette Tesoriero since 2013. As an artist she has presented work at Performance Space, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Arts House, Griffin, Eternity Playhouse, PACT Centre for Emerging Artists, Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centre, Vitalstatistix, MCA Art Bar, Blacktown Arts Centre and Performance Studies International.
