Luca completed his Bachelor of Writing degree and soon began exploring ways to apply his qualification in a professional context. This exploration introduced him to the field of learning design. In the early stages of his career, Luca focused on innovative learning practices and fun, experience‑based approaches that created emotional connections between participants and their learning materials.
He later worked as a consultant, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries, including the university sector, national security, future science initiatives, aged care reform, and social services redesign. Across each engagement, Luca remained committed to building learning capability within the teams he collaborated with.
Luca also served as the Head of the Holan Incubation Platform, where he mentored young professionals in the social impact and innovation sector, supporting them to bring their ideas to life.
Reflecting on joining NIDA, Luca said:
