Jennifer was born and raised on the rich volcanic farmlands of Nalangil in South-West Victoria. Having grown up on a dairy farm as the youngest of four siblings, she quickly learned the best way to get mum and dad’s attention was to be a drama queen.
Being reared on a beautiful, vast stretch of land allowed Jennifer the space to let her imagination run wild. Whether it was singing made-up songs to cows or jumping hay bales like Katniss Everdeen or stargazing in paddocks, dreaming of the future, she would always be doing something weird and wonderful.
To Jennifer, singing is second nature and a big part of her life. Performing locally while playing piano and guitar through school, she eventually discovered acting. The potential of what a great script, an embodied character, a bold idea or perspective can do to create change is something that drives her today, and is what drove her straight to the steps of NIDA.
