Born in Melbourne, Janita moved to the north of Thailand at six months old, and grew up bilingual in the Makhampom Art Space – a ‘theatre village’ where practitioners from all over the world come and share their craft in a sort of melting pot between mountain valleys and rice fields. This is where Janita’s passion for the arts was nurtured. Her primary school years were spent at a local temple school that taught Muay Thai and massage as the two main classes, so she grew up with good dodging skills and some very strong fingers.
Janita moved back to Melbourne to continue her high school studies, and has since jumped the border to New South Wales to begin her journey in big city Sydney in pursuit of a career. She hopes to one day give back and add to the melting pot that helped raise her.
