Guinevere Fisher

Guinevere is an emerging multidisciplinary theatre artist working across composition, sound design, stage management, and she has a strong interest working towards writing and directing artistic works collaborating with creative teams. She has a performance background in classical dance and is classically trained in piano, percussion, and violin. She brings a rhythmic, expressive sensibility to her creative work and loves the evocative power of movement and music to heighten the power of dramatic performance. Highlights have included have the privilege of working with respected directors Lindy Hume and David Bertolt with collaborations between NIDA and The Sydney Conservatorium of Music with ‘Mother’ and ‘The Coronation of Poppea’ and recently developed her score reading musical skills working with the Stage Managers at The Sydney Opera House on two ballets, ‘Oscar and Nutcracker.’

Guinevere is passionate about interpreting Shakespearean and classical texts, with a particular interest in reimagining them through a contemporary lens. She is especially drawn to telling female-centered stories and exploring how sound and music can deepen narrative and emotional impact in performance and is interested in creating artistic soundscapes, collaborating on film and live theatre productions. Her experience spans traditional plays, new work development, and collaborative productions both with additional skills in stage management that support the practical and logistical sides of live theatre. Guinevere thrives in creative environments that blend text, movement, and sound, and she is excited to build a versatile career that brings these elements together. She hopes to continue developing her voice as both an artist and storyteller across diverse performance settings moving towards directing.
