Emily’s journey as an actor began at the age of four, after a memorable ballet recital in which she brought the show to a halt by insisting her mum join her on stage. To cure her desperate shyness, she was enrolled in drama classes – a plan that backfired spectacularly, as it soon became impossible to get her off a stage. Before long, the family garage had become her personal soundstage, and she was casting her siblings in home movies, whether they volunteered or not. (They did not.)
Now eighteen years old and fourteen years on from her first acting class at NIDA, Emily has returned to the same building to advance her skills in the Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance — a full-circle moment in every sense.
Over the years, Emily has explored everything from ballroom dance and football to horse riding and figure skating — a breadth of experience that has come to enrich her creative work and deepen the characters she inhabits. Acting has remained her constant passion for the better part of a decade, and storytelling has always felt like second nature to her. Guided by endless curiosity, she is dedicated to delivering truthful, compelling performances through her work.
When Emily is not on set or on stage, you’ll find her behind a film camera, capturing everyday moments on analogue — because apparently one lens is never enough.
With British and Norwegian heritage, Emily holds dual Australian and British citizenship.
