Corey was born and raised in Sydney, where his imagination was fuelled by a love of film from an early age. Inspired by his mum’s 80s movie obsession, his favourite film Stand By Me sparked a lifelong love for acting.
Determined to pursue acting, Corey committed himself to training at NIDA, where he has learned from and is inspired by like-minded creatives who share his passion for performance.
During his training, Corey has explored a wide range of theatrical and screen work, from intimate two-hander scenes to large ensemble productions. He values empathy as one of his greatest strengths and channels that into his craft, seeking to understand the psychology of complex characters and helping audiences connect with them, no matter how messy or imperfect they are.
Drawn to layered, character-driven narratives, Corey enjoys bringing to life the complexity and humanity of the characters he plays.
Growing up with Cystic Fibrosis, Corey has developed resilience and determination that now drive his passion for storytelling. He looks forward to carrying these qualities into the industry as he builds a career across stage and screen.
