About Cara
Cara graduated from the Australian National University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Art History and Curatorship (Honours). Since graduating, she has worked in the visual arts, developing her career at the National Gallery of Australia (NGA). At the NGA, Cara worked across diverse disciplines including; developing educational resources, conducting school tours, delivering marketing and communications campaigns and managing the visitor experience team. With a keen interest in fundraising, Cara made a shift to this area as Development Assistant Manager and worked across the NGA’s fundraising program.
Arriving in Melbourne in 2018, Cara expanded her fundraising experience in the not-for-profit sector at Berry Street, working in major gifts. She joined the team at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in 2019 as Senior Communications Officer, Fundraising. In this role, she is responsible for the engagement and stewardship of donors through the development and delivery of the NGV Fundraising team’s communication strategy and works on ambitious fundraising campaigns.
