Bronte Hunt

Bronte Hunt grew up in Sydney by the water, where she spent her childhood with the oyster shells and mangroves near the Steiner school she attended from Kindergarten. Her education planted a deep curiosity in her and a love of stories, myths, music and art. She especially loved the annual class play and always turned to theatre as her natural form of expression. At 14, she created ‘Homeland’ with her friend, a Syrian refugee, a play comparing their ancestry and experiences of life in Australia.

In 2019, Bronte moved to Newcastle, where she and her brother created Blue Moon Events, a collective of young people sharing their music and art. She took a year before studying to drive her 2002 Corolla through Central Australia and the Kimberley. Bronte has fallen in love with design as a way of embodying truth, beauty and goodness in everything she does.
