Asha Perry

One fateful day in 2014, at her home in Perth, Asha tuned in to the Tony Awards. She had just started weekly musical theatre classes but wasn’t completely sold on the idea. That’s when she saw Neil Patrick Harris performing ‘Sugar Daddy’ from Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It was this that compelled her to pursue the performing arts as a career.

Since then, Asha has been involved in all aspects of the industry, from musical theatre to feature films, and working as a theatre technician. Fresh out of high school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Theatre Arts, at Curtin University. It was her nomination for ‘Outstanding Newcomer’ in the Performing Arts WA Awards in 2024 that pushed Asha to make the move to Sydney the next year, where she studied the Diploma of Musical Theatre at NIDA.

Asha’s future goals consist of either being on a stage or in front of a camera. She’d love to make an impact on audiences in some way, whether it’s to entertain, or inspire others to follow their dreams.”
