Alana Shootingstar is a distinguished arts professional with a rich background in festival production, arts administration, and live standup comedy. With six years’ experience as the Producer for the Gold Coast Laughs Festival, Alana has successfully curated, developed, and delivered acclaimed comedy programs, contributing to significant profit growth and artistic development within the live performance industry.

She currently serves as the Course Coordinator for MFA Directing and MFA Dramatic Writing at NIDA, where she manages the logistical aspects of teaching, student projects, and budget preparation. Alana’s diverse career includes roles such as Live Touring Producer at Junkyard Artists and Booking & Ticketing Coordinator at Giant Dwarf Theatre. She holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Film, TV & New Media Production) and a Bachelor of Human Services from Queensland University of Technology. With exceptional skills in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement, Alana is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the performing arts landscape.
