Home Profile Adithi Iyer

Adithi Iyer

Growing up in Sri Lanka, with an Indian ancestry, the performing arts were an integral part of Adithi’s upbringing. She is overjoyed to have made her childhood love of the arts into a career. She moved from Colombo to Sydney to pursue her degree at NIDA, making adventure and thriving in the unknown something she enjoys in her personal life and in her designs.

Adithi holds a diploma in Bharatanatyam (Indian classical) Dance which has hugely influenced her design approach. Using movement, choreography, and bodies in space to inform the world building process. She is an ardent advocate of cultural diversity in the arts and telling these stories with mindfulness, sensitivity, and an openness to different ways to think. Adithi is interested in exploring cultural advisory roles alongside her design practice.

Whilst she is drawn to cultural works, she is also excited by the prospect of working in many spheres across the performing arts industry including film, theatre, dance, and other forms of performance art. Traversing the unfamiliar with careful optimism and a readiness to broaden her horizons.
