Congratulations to our Director/CEO, Lynne Williams, who was recently announced as incoming Principal of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London a testament to her creative leadership and extensive knowledge and experience in performing arts education and training.

Under Lynne’s guidance over the past eight years, NIDA set out and achieved an ambitious vision for a future-focussed institution which included achieving self-accrediting authority, a new suite of Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts courses, a new Vocational Education department, newinternational creative industry and education partnerships, and an enhanced teaching and learning environment culminating in a new graduate school completed in 2015.
Lynne said: ‘This is an exciting next chapter for me. Although I will be sad to leave all my wonderful colleagues within the NIDA community, I am hoping that I can stay connected to NIDA and bring two of the world’s great performing arts education and training institutions together on a range of collaborative projects. Both NIDA and the Guildhall exemplify excellence and innovation in arts education and training which is so crucial to ensuring a creative and cultural future for 21st-century societies’.
