About Nina

Nina is a sydney-based artist exploring the intersection of art, science, and costuming, with a background in sculpture and prop making they aspire to work within and without the realms of traditional specialty costume.

Nina has a natural aptitude for collaboration and supervision and loves nothing more than bringing to life creative and inspiring designs and concepts. In particular, they have a knack of truely understanding a design and the processes behind it. Above all, Nina loves to make things, anything and everything, but particularly the impractical. Making the impossible, possible.

Their work explores the ways that as practitioners we can incorporate our environment into our art and our practice as a whole. Nina’s art traverses many modes of costume innovation, from ecologically regenerative textile fabrication, to the intersection of props, costume, tailoring and art finishing.
