NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal, Gadigal, Dharawal and Dharug peoples, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.

Born to Indian parents living in Sydney, acting wasn't really on Ariyan's mind for much of his upbringing. He enjoyed singing and impersonating Disney characters but it wasn't until his final schooling years that he found his passion for performing. Upon leaving school, Ariyan entered straight into the Diploma of Musical Theatre course at NIDA. Here, he honed his singing, acting and dancing abilities before being accepted into the NIDA BFA Singing Actor program.
As a proud Indian man, Ariyan has a deep interest in exploring true Indian stories. In doing this, he hopes to inspire others like himself to play doctors, lawyers and dentists in movies instead of in real life. It's way more fun.
Sorry mum and dad...
Behind the scenes, Ariyan enjoys playing musical instruments, writing complete nonsense on his typewriter, and disappointing his family.
