Born in Melbourne to a family of artists, Jackson showed a strong interest in performing arts from a very young age. Jackson honed a suite of skills throughout his formative years, from writing his own songs, attending dance classes (in hip hop, jazz and tap), training in music theatre with the Young Australian Broadway Chorus for 8 years, and graduating the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School with the Theatre Arts Award in 2017.
After high school, Jackson pursued a career in music under the pseudonym Earnest Jackson. Over the course of three years, he independently released six original singles on streaming services, produced four self-made music videos, and performed nine headline shows at various venues around Melbourne.
With a continued desire to pursue acting for stage and screen, in 2020 Jackson was accepted into NIDA where he has enjoyed developing his craft and skillset. Jackson is excited to step out into the industry and feels ready for whatever this new chapter has to offer.
