NIDA acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we learn and tell stories, the Bidjigal, Gadigal, Dharawal and Dharug peoples, and we pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present.
In 2019, Isabell relocated to Sydney to undertake a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Properties and Objects at NIDA. In her final year she explored model making and puppetry in the form of a short film for her masterwork, ‘House of Circe’.
During her time at NIDA, Isabell has developed her skills as a maker, working on a variety of projects and NIDA productions. Her favourite project was designing and writing her own short film for the properties and objects model making assessment.
Isabell has utilised many opportunities to volunteer in extracurricular activities at NIDA such as acting and puppeteering on stage in And A Happy New Year, in 2020. She has also utilised her love of theatre making by writing and directing the annual puppet show in 2020.
Whilst Isabell enjoys all areas of prop making, she excels in painting, sculpting and model making. After NIDA, Isabell aspires to expand her knowledge of art and object-making.
