Craig Rogers

With over 20 years’ experience in the arts industry across Australia, Craig has worked across multiple art forms including community arts, cultural development, large-scale event management, festival direction, public art implementation, strategy and policy development, music, youth arts and venue management. With a strong commitment and passion for the arts, social justice and community health, Craig strives to ensure that art is a mechanism for building social cohesion and a vehicle for social justice. Alongside his arts practice Craig has also worked in community health, focusing on the prevention of violence against women. Craig is currently employed as the Manager Arts and Culture for Moreland City Council in Melbourne’s Inner North. Prior to this Craig was the Arts and Culture Coordinator for the City of Maribyrnong. He was responsible for setting the strategic vision for the arts and creative industries within the city. Craig was also the Manager of the Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre and Darebin Arts Centre. During his time at these venues he oversaw a 39 per cent increase in box office sales, hosting over 3,000 events per year and attracting over 150,000 people annually.
