Gavin Leahy

Gavin Leahy

Gavin has worked professionally in musical theatre, cabaret and circus, and currently teaches voice, languages and dialects. Whilst at NIDA, Gavin’s areas of research include body, voice and text: the exploration of physical connections to text and the actor’s voice; the physical effects of trauma on the voice; and intentional masculinity and vocal identity.

His approach aims to combine the body, brain, emotions and voice interactively and creatively into one capable instrument.
