For 16 years NIDA has partnered with triple j Unearthed to create music videos, free for musicians, to be played on ABC TV’s Rage. This year, eight exciting new videos were created with NIDA’s Directing, Make-up and Design students paired with independent Australian music artists to realise their vision which was broadcasted nationally on Saturday, 12 September.
Dr Benjamin Schostakowski, NIDA’s Head of Directing said, “For more than a decade, our collaboration with triple j Unearthed and rage has provided a unique platform for emerging Australian musicians and NIDA artists to create ambitious new work together. The 2026 collection reflects the breadth of talent, innovation and creative risk-taking that defines the next generation of Australian storytellers. We’re thrilled to share these music videos with audiences and celebrate the collaborative spirit that sits at the heart of this enduring partnership.”
We’d like to thank NIDA community as well as the triple j team who volunteered their time to realise these creations. It is with great pride that we are able to support emerging musicians with videos that are entirely free for them and provide invaluable industry experience and connections for our students.
