About the project

Small Blue Thing is a work in development – a journey through an immersive world of projections, interactive technology, and aerial dance within a moving landscape created by Box of Birds with Shakira Clanton. It reflects the pressures of contemporary life and ponders infinite outer space and our fragile place within it. 

This small blue dot, suspended in the vastness of space …  

This is me. This is your home.   

Out here, it is so full of life, and yet so … vulnerable. I have seen all your tears, your happiness, your love.   

I’ve seen your anger, your hurt, your pain …   

But look closer. Can you see mine?
