Ava Faros is a Sydney-based musical theatre performer currently training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Growing up immersed in Sydney’s vibrant arts and theatre scene, she developed a love of performance from an early age, laying the foundation for her creative journey.

Some of Ava’s earliest memories involve singing along to songs with her father, experiences that sparked a passion for music and storytelling that has remained central to her life. That early enthusiasm has since evolved into a deep commitment to performance and the power of stories to connect people.

Alongside her training in musical theatre, Ava has also studied journalism, drawn to storytelling in all its forms. Her interests in both performance and writing have shaped her creative perspective, allowing her to approach her work with curiosity, empathy and a strong appreciation for narrative.

During her training, Ava had the opportunity to understudy the role of River in In Pieces, directed by Miranda Middleton and presented by NIDA’s Bachelor of Fine Arts (Singer Actor) cohort. The experience further strengthened her passion for collaborative storytelling and creating meaningful connections with audiences.

Ava is particularly drawn to the unique combination of singing, acting and movement that musical theatre offers. She is excited to continue developing her craft and bringing compelling characters and stories to life on stage.
