About Philip
Philip D’Ambrosio is an Australian actor and creator known for his sharp comedic instincts and character-driven storytelling. After earning a journalism degree from the University of Technology Sydney in 2014, he made a bold pivot at 25 to pursue acting full-time. Within two years, he secured a place in NIDA’s Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Since graduating NIDA in 2020, he has built a diverse career across theatre, film, and television, with notable stage credits including My Hair is Thinning (Brand X Residency/Kinetik Collective), The Italians (25A Belvoir), and Håmlet: Ban Shakespeare (Bondi Feast). His performance in The Italians at Downstairs Belvoir earned critical praise, with reviewers calling him a “first-rate comic character actor.”
On screen, Philip’s credits include; Five Blind Dates (Amazon Prime), Fragmentary (Shudder) and The Out There, the world’s first TV series for Instagram, created by Mohini Herse (Appetite, Four Years Later). In addition to performing, he worked as a development coordinator at Goalpost Pictures from 2021 to 2024, contributing to a slate of film and television projects, including Black Snow S1 and S2 (Stan) and Top End Bub S1 (Prime Video).
