From Perth originally, Jackson Lorrigan has pursued many and varied roles in the Performing Arts, with an extensive range of skills and an inherent passion for the industry.
Before NIDA, Jackson had a seven year career as a Drag Queen persona, performing and producing a variety of shows in Drag and Burlesque in the fringe circuit.
With a demand for costumes in group numbers and conceptual routines, Jackson discovered a natural urge and talent to bring a design to life. From there a decision was made to pursue a sea-change in career as a Costumier.
From a fashion and Visual Art background as well, Jackson enjoys projects in speciality costume. From fabric manipulation, art finishing and leatherwork: each task is
approached with excitement and resourcefulness.
With natural attributes in determination and helpfulness, Jackson has also found interest in Costume Supervision and looks forward to exploring that role further in his final year.
