Brodie is an identical twin and one of three brothers originally from Mareeba, Queensland. He explored drama at school in Cairns.

While he was based in Brisbane, Brodie began to take part in community theatre productions and festivals as well as gaining experience in a variety of roles in film, television and TVCs. Prior to being accepted into the NIDA Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance with his identical twin, Brodie trained with Gareth Harris (actor training), Dianne Eden (voice) and the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble.

Brodie has also trained as a singer and participated in a number of recitals and open mics. In his spare time, Brodie enjoys playing the guitar and playing basketball.
