Home Profile Kristin Mitchell

Kristin Mitchell

Kristin is a Wollongong born screen and stage performer, whose love of dancing around the house (and occasionally beyond) in ridiculous homemade costumes resembling fruits and various animated characters somehow led her to the doors of NIDA.

Kristin’s ventures in high school theatre won her a Canberra Area Theatre Award in the 2025 ceremony, cementing her theories that running around onstage could potentially be worthy of praise.

In her final year of school, she performed at Qudos Bank Arena as a Featured Artist in the NSW Schools Spectacular alongside some of the state’s top vocal talent.

Whilst at NIDA Kristin performed in the ensemble and understudied Guido’s Mother for the production Nine, directed by Dean Drieberg, and features as Young Girl in the production of Mary Stuart, directed by Marion Potts.

Kristin hopes to build a career of mindfully reckless creativity, and to uphold the same imaginative spirit that led her towards the arts and to NIDA.
