Born in the Philippines and raised in Perth, Jenny is no stranger to an emotional belt and powerhouse performance. Jenny’s vocal prowess was shaped by the likes of Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Whitney, and her love for musical theatre sparked by a timely combination of starting drama class and discovering Hamilton in the same year.
Jenny completed the WAAPA Diploma of Musical Theatre in 2022, where she played The Fan in the Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone. She came alive during the improvisation and comedic monologues of the role, which inspired her to pursue acting more seriously. Training was a goldmine for Jenny; combat classes were a welcome throwback to her taekwondo days. Slam poetry and cabaret writing emerged as new joys.
Jenny has originated roles in professional Australian theatre: Joy in Ribbons In Our Hair (The Hayes and The Blue Room Theatre) and Maria Clara in 4xPAWA-nominated Imelda (Blue Room Theatre), as well as university roles such as Ritz in Time Capsule (UDS).
Jenny looks forward to what lies ahead, and to being a Filipino face on stages and screens worldwide.
