Nyasha Ogden is a proud Larrakia women, born and raised on the land of the Larrakia people (Darwin). Growing up, her life was a rotation of different sports; whether it was athletics, gymnastics, AFL, or Irish dancing, she would give anything a shot. Despite the joy that a muddy game of footy brought her, she knew from just 12 years old that her passion lied in performing.
Turning her dream to reality, she jumped on any opportunity that presented itself to her. From indie documentaries to theatre performances, she channeled her creative energy into acting.
At 16 she made her professional theatre debut in ATYP’S Cusp by Mary-Anne Butler, and in 2021 her TV debut in Warwick Thornton’s AMC+ show FireBite.
Alongside performing, she enjoys bouldering, yoga, long-distance running, anything active, really.
Nyasha is inspired to use her art as a means of representing First Nations people.
