Online school workshops
NIDA is pleased to offer online learning options for preschool, primary and secondary school students and teachers.
Our collaborative approach to designing online courses recognises the expertise of teachers in creating programs that best meet the needs of their school community.
Online sessions can be developed around a variety of curriculum and arts discipline areas and are informed by the work of the NIDA team currently delivering online education to NIDA students across the school.
We have reduced the cost of these workshops to ensure they are as accessible as possible whilst maintaining a commitment to excellence and practice based learning outcomes.
Our maximum class size is limited to:
16 people for a Screen Acting class that includes script work and play back.
25 people for all other workshops.
If your group consists of more than 25 students, please contact the Program Manager, Community and Schools to discuss further.
Alternatively, call us on 1300 450 417 or email schools@nida.edu.au to discuss your idea.
Connect to Curriculum
Working in collaboration with classroom teachers, NIDA can customise online workshops to address curriculum outcomes across all states and territories in Australia. From specialist skills in performance styles to public speaking or technical skills in non-performance disciplines such as film making, design or production we can create a specialised, online program that best suits the needs of your students.
These workshops are delivered online via a moderated Zoom session inside NIDA’s online learning platform MyNIDA and can be supported by digital learning materials as required.
Create Solutions
NIDA welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with school communities and create solutions to challenging problems. In the past we have worked with schools seeking creative ways to increase literacy outcomes, inspire creative thinking and problem solving, develop group cohesion and inspire leadership skills.
NIDA Open, informed by the skill and experience of our industry aligned and trained artists can help you create an online learning solution that bridges the gap between digital and practice based learning.
These workshops are delivered online via a moderated Zoom session inside NIDA’s online learning platform NIDA Learn and can be supported by digital learning materials as required.
