NIDA welcomes alumna Nicole Robinson as Course Leader of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Technical Production.

Nicole Robinson graduated from NIDA in 2001 with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art in Technical Production. Since then, she has established herself as a highly skilled freelance stage manager, working with various companies and producers throughout Australia. Her expertise extends to commercial musicals as well as collaborations with state and independent theatre companies.

She has considerable touring experience regionally, nationally and internationally. It has given Nicole great pleasure to travel to and call shows in every Australian state and territory both in capital cities and regional centres, as well as in the UK.

Throughout her career, Nicole has also worked as a stage manager on numerous events both small and large scale including the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony, Sydney NYE Lord Mayor’s Party, NRL Grand Final, Helpmann Awards, AFI Awards, Sydney Writers’ Festival and Carols in the Domain.

Her theatre highlights include Australian national tours of MAMMA MIA! the Musical, Matilda the Musical and Billy Elliot the Musical (Louise Withers & Associates), South Pacific (Opera Australia), Hairspray (David Atkins Enterprises), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (GFO), The Wharf Revue (Sydney Theatre Company), Holding the Man (Griffin/Belvoir St/Sydney Opera House/Performing Lines Tour), and Last Cab to Darwin and Ruby’s Last Dollar (Pork Chop Productions).
