Minka has long been a part of the Technical Theatre and Stage Management family here at NIDA.
She is a graduate of the course (then called Technical Production), and since then has established herself as one of the industry’s most respected stage managers.
She comes with a wealth of experience from a career spanning over twenty years, including six years as Head of Stage Management at Sydney Theatre Company.
Minka has worked on over 50 productions with the STC where she brings her unique perspective, style, and professionalism. Some of these credits include, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Do Not Go Gentle, The Tempest, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Harp in the South, Chimerica and The Real Thing.
She has worked with hundreds of artists and theatre practitioners over her career, building trust, understanding their individual needs and creating a space where people feel safe, heard and supported.
She looks forward to bringing her skills, leadership, integrity, and determination to the role and to continue to nurture, support and shape the future of the industry.
