Mike Lin was born in Australia and spent much of his childhood in Guangzhou, China, before moving to the Central Coast of New South Wales at the age of 10. Growing up between two cultures and three languages shaped the way he understands people, relationships and the world around him.

Creativity has always played a significant role in Mike’s life. As a child, he spent countless hours drawing his favourite anime characters, convinced he was destined to become an artist. While that ambition eventually gave way to other pursuits, his passion for storytelling remained constant.

That passion evolved into music, where he taught himself piano and guitar so he could perform his favourite songs. Over time, his love of creative expression led him to acting—a craft that combines imagination, emotion and human connection.

For Mike, acting is a place of freedom and discovery. While everyday life can be shaped by self-doubt and uncertainty, acting allows him to step into different perspectives and explore aspects of himself he may not otherwise encounter. It is a space where he can take risks, embrace vulnerability and deepen his understanding of human experience.
