Mia MacCormick is an Australian Set and Costume designer for live performance and screen. With a background in interior architecture and self-taught garment creation, her work is driven by a love for making as well as her interdisciplinary interests, culminating in design thinking that is both pragmatic and inventive. Mia believes in the importance of efficiency and approaches every project resourcefully, making the most of materials, time, and budgets to deliver clear, authentic designs.

Recently, Mia has enjoyed working as a set design assistant at Sport for Jove on their production of Bright Star, where she met many talented and kind people with whom she hopes to work in the future. Going forward, Mia hopes to create work that not only brings her joy but also uplifts both collaborators and audiences.
