Mia MacCormick is an emerging Australian set and costume designer whose love of stories led her to pursue a career in production design. Growing up in an artistic household, Mia was immersed in a world of creativity, and self-expression from an early age.
Her work is characterized by a hands-on approach and a joy in the act of making, often incorporating handcrafted elements that bring depth and authenticity to her designs. Her professional creative practise began with a background in interior design, where she developed a strong foundation in spatial composition, materials, and aesthetic details. This early training continues to inform her approach to production design, blending functionality with artistic expression
