Matthew Phillips

Matthew Phillips (He/Him) is an emerging practitioner in the theatre and film industry.

Through NIDA, Matt has discovered a passion for lighting and sound design, as well as technical systems and stage management. Having previously completed a Diploma of Film and Television at JMC Academy in 2022, Matt has a keen interest in expanding his skills in both film and theatre, with a particular focus on the art of storytelling and the connection a story can have with its audience.

Matt is drawn towards this industry as it allows for the ability to work with a range of different individuals. Matt loves working with people on fun and challenging projects.

Matt is always excited to expand his learning through every production he works on, constantly enhancing his knowledge and skills throughout his career, meeting new people, and seeing where the industry takes him in the future.
