Marieke Carlile is a dedicated and hardworking technical theatre practitioner-based on the South Coast as well as Sydney. Marieke has a skill set, specialising in mechanist and stage management. A graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Arts studying the Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services, she developed an expanse of knowledge for theatre, live music, corporate events, and other live productions. 

Before being accepted into NIDA Marieke had five years volunteer experience at an amateur level with a local theatre company, spanning 11 musicals with varying roles. Mainly working as a stagehand or mechanists, Marieke has also experienced working as an assistant stage manager, a spotlight operator as well as an assistant props supervisor. During this time Marieke fell in love with the theatre and all its experiences, she was determined to follow the paths that theatre could lead her down. 

Marieke is dedicated to continuing to learn as she extends herself into the industry and is always looking for opportunities to expand her experiences.
