As a child, Madeleine fostered what her parents would later diagnose as a “flair for the dramatics.” However, she would not apply this skill until Year 9 drama class where she happened upon the realm of Commedia Dell Arte. She kindly rejected playing the part of the lovers and instead yearned to play the senile and decrepit, ‘Pantalone.’ A character actor was born that day.
During High School, Madeleine would trade in popularity for hobbies like Robotics Club, Physics and the old ‘Liquorice Stick’ (Clarinet). After High School, she would pursue a degree in Astrophysics and English from the University of Sydney, which remains deferred to this day. Rather than studying, she found her time much more worthwhile performing in multiple productions at the University’s dramatic society where she has met lifelong collaborators and friends.
Madeleine feels that this is an exciting time in the industry especially in comedy spaces and as such is enthusiastic in further contributing to an ever-evolving scene.
