As a child, Kiara had big ambitions for her future – she was either going to be a professional sushi chef, a spy, or a championship skateboard rider.
Growing up on the outskirts of sunny Brisbane, Kiara decided it was her responsibility to turn everyday into a performance – a dance in the living room, a song at the dinner table, or a one-person play for anyone willing to watch.
Her first moment on an actual stage came at just 5 years old in a Christmas pantomime playing an orphaned fairy who, unlike the others, possessed no magic powers. Yet, this little fairy was entirely magical to Kiara.
Studying at NIDA has nurtured Kiara’s love of play and creativity, while also deepening her technical knowledge. Kiara brings her versatile imagination to every character she plays, in pursuit of the magic that first found her onstage, and hopes to tell stories as wide-ranging as her childhood career aspirations.
