Growing up in the quiet coastal town of Busselton, Western Australia, Ellie fostered her creativity surrounded by tall peppy trees and lots of dress ups. In her Year 2 Nativity Play, she braved a stomach bug to deliver the debut performance of a lifetime as ‘Inn keeper.’ Her love and dedication for being an actor began that day.
Prior to her studies at NIDA, she attended John Curtin College of the Arts in the specialist acting program and completed the Diploma of Acting at WAAPA in 2023. She was also influenced by her travels through New York, Barcelona and London, where street art, jazz and physical theatre transformed her perspective on the power of art.
Empathy is Ellie’s greatest asset as an actor, showcasing her strengths through a genuine love and curiosity for people and their stories. This, along with a nurtured sense of imagination and deep connection to play allows her to easily access worlds outside of her own, making her a fearlessly authentic artists just like the little girl playing dress ups under the peppy trees.
