Ellie Drayton

Ellie Drayton is an 18-year-old actress based in Sydney, Australia. From the moment she stepped into her first acting and singing class at age three, performing became the place where her imagination could run wild, and in turn, the performing arts quickly became a thread running through her life. Whether she was making home movies, singing around the house, painting, or convincing family and friends to take part in impromptu performances, she was always searching for new ways to bring her imagination to life.

Growing up in Sydney with Slovak and Australian roots, Ellie found acting to be more than just a creative outlet. For Ellie, acting quickly became the place where she could explore perspectives and experiences, gain a better understanding of herself and connect to others through shared stories. Although she embraced all opportunities that came her way – from rowing and playing the piano, guitar, saxophone and singing, to studying French and graduating from the Australian Music Theatre Academy (AMTA) – for Ellie, the pull towards the performing arts never faded.

Her unwavering passion for the arts led her back to the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), where she continues to comprehensively refine her craft through the Diploma of Stage and Screen Performance. Drawn to both the intimacy of screen acting and the immediacy of live theatre, Ellie constantly gravitates towards the challenge of stepping into new worlds and discovering what makes each character unique and human.

Ellie is dedicated to expanding her career in the performing arts space and is eager to take on a diverse set of roles that develop her range through the individual challenges they present. Whether she is taking on a new challenge or building on existing skills, Ellie brings enthusiasm, dedication, and an authentic energy to every performance.
