Elena Tomaras is an emerging stage and screen performer from Penrith, currently based in Sydney. As an only child, she developed a flair for the dramatic from an early age, often entertaining herself with enthusiastic one-woman performances and a vivid imagination that quickly found a home in the performing arts.

For years, Elena trained and competed in singing and dance, nurturing a love of performance that continued to grow throughout her childhood. However, it was not until Year 11, when two classmates convinced her to attend a production of Hairspray at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, that everything clicked into place. Musical theatre revealed itself as the perfect combination of the art forms she loved most, and from that moment, she knew she had found where she belonged.

After briefly pursuing a commerce degree at Macquarie University, Elena made the decision to fully commit to a career in the performing arts. That decision led her to the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), where her training has deepened her understanding of performance and provided some of the most transformative experiences of her life.

Passionate about storytelling, collaboration and continual growth, Elena approaches her craft with enthusiasm, curiosity and dedication. She believes that what is meant for you will find you, and she is excited to continue building a career that allows her to connect with audiences through meaningful and memorable performances.
