Darcy Duncan is a dedicated, passionate, and skilled Lighting/Video/Sound Technician, Lighting Designer and Production Manager.
With a strong technical background and creative eye, Darcy specialises in designing, implementing and maintaining innovative lighting for live performance.
During his time at NIDA, he has developed his leadership skills, finding a passion for upskilling those around him. Additionally, he has found a passion for Production Management.
Darcy actively works in various aspects of the industry including Musicals, Ballet, Opera, Plays, Contemporary Performance, Devised/Improvised works, Broadcast and Live Events. More specifically, Darcy is a proud employee for various venues and companies in Sydney Australia including the Sydney Opera House, Chameleon Touring Systems, Sydney Festival and Shopfront Arts Co-Op. Darcy also works as a freelancer.
Darcy is incredibly conscious of Climate Change and is committed to reducing waste in the Industry. He is dedicated to creating and supporting productions using reuseable materials and equipment sourced from ethical locations.
Outside of his work, he is a passionate photographer.
Darcy is always keen to learn new skills in different aspects of the industry, especially for large events utilising new, exciting and innovative technologies.
